Dock Lifeguard - Troubleshooting

To ensure proper installation, Dock Lifeguard should be installed by a qualified Electrician

Dock Lifguard was just installed and it is not detecting electrical current?

a) The red cap from the sensing probe must be removed before placing in the water.


b) Ensure the Dock Lifeguard unit is properly grounded to the dock, and the dock is connected to a grounding rod at shore.

Dock Lifeguard sounds an alarm when I turn on my lift blower.

a) When the brushes on blower motors start wearing out, this can result in electrical current leaking back to ground.  The Dock Lifeguard will detect this occurrences.  Replacing your lift blower motor should eliminate this condition.
